How friggin’ rad is this?? If you’re a biker, you can join the cause or just be part of an awareness ride.
Love this quote from Chief in this article on HuffPo:
When we tell a child they don’t have to be afraid, they believe us.
“A biker’s power and intimidating image can even the playing field for a little kid who has been hurt. If the man who hurt this little girl calls or drives by, or even if she is just scared, another nightmare, the bikers will ride over and stand guard all night.
If she is afraid to go to school, they will take her and watch until she’s safely inside.
And if she has to testify against her abuser in court, they will go, too, walking with her to the witness stand and taking over the first row of seats.”
This is one of those things that will restore your faith in humanity.
This photographer has mastered the technique of capturing water drop refraction with a macro lens. Just amazing.

There is such tragic poignancy in those words. Our lives seem to be spent trying to keep something from dying: love, our bodies, our souls. We take pictures to freeze a moment in time thinking that it will keep the moment, people, feeling alive. Wouldn’t we be able to enjoy what we have now so much more if we could just embrace it’s death as a natural part of the cycle? Maybe we could strive less, worry less, suffer less and live more. Maybe part of the flowers beauty is in its fleeting nature.
Don’t try to make life a mathematics problem with yourself in the center and everything coming out equal. When you’re good, bad things can still happen. And if you’re bad, you can still be lucky.
